vote–do you know the story?
Hunger strikes. Beatings. Bombings.
Based on real, historical figures, It’s My Party! delves into the messy backstory of the 19th
Amendment. Facing an uphill battle in Washington, some suffragists employ increasingly
radical tactics to make their voices heard–leading to bitter rivalries and a generational split
that threatened to tear the suffragists’ movement apart from the inside!
As the 2020 Election approaches, join Echo to celebrate the Centennial of the 19th
Amendment and the incredible true story of the women who made it possible. This online
reading is appropriate for all ages and will be followed by talk-back with the cast.
